Conference & Training
Conference and training are designed specifically for school counselors.  Members receive free clock hours at WSCA sponsored event, a savings of $2.00 per clock hour. WSCA provides spring annual conference, OSPI/WSCA conference, leadership training, ASCA Model Workshops and Webinars. It’s a great way to make connections and network while learning from the best.
Regular Communications
Quarterly publication both print and electronic, keep you up to date on topics important to Washington State School Counselors. The WSCA Insights is available three times a year and the WSCA today is a bi-weekly informational online newsletter.
Legislative Advocacy
WSCA is your voice in Olympia. The Advocacy committee is dedicated to advocate for School counselors in Washington State. WSCA provides a legislative advocate to keep you informed of the latest political and policy activities in Olympia.Stay up to date about issues affecting the school counselor role in education.  Learn how you can be involved in Advocating for School Counselors by contacting KimReykdalwsca@gmail.com Next opportunity to advocate for school counselors will be “Day on the Hill” Feb. 3, 2016.

Leadership Opportunities
Leadership opportunities are important ethical part of being a professional school counselor. WSCA members are encouraged to share their talents and passion by becoming involved in one of our many Committees, building stronger relationships while workingon advocacy issues or helping to produce a stronger Professional association. Scholarships Opportunities
WSCA provides five $100 scholarships for students in school counseling programs to attend the annual spring conference. A $500 scholarship is issued to advance a Washington school counseling program?
School Counseling program that apply for RAMP certification may apply for $200.00 RAMP application fee scholarships. 
Comprehensive Website
WSCAprovides information and current events for School Counselors in Washington on the WSCA website.  The website listings and resources listed are intended to assist school counselors in their efforts to better address children's academic, social/emotional and career development needs.
Each year WSCA recognizes exceptional school counselors at the spring annual conference.  These awards are nominated by members or administrators and selected by a committee. SC Professional Evaluation Resources
WSCA website provides upcoming resources on school counselor professional evaluation. The SCHOOL COUNSELOR EVALUATION RESOURCES??RCW 28A.405.100 established the minimum criteria for the evaluation of certificated employees.   The current models primarily focus on teachers and principals (TPEP).  WSCA evaluation committee continues to research, draft, develop, pilot, and propose a SC specific evaluation tool to the legislature by January 2017.
